Responding to live theatre
£14.95
Responding to live theatre is an important element of all drama and theatre studies specifications at KS4 and post-16. The purpose of this article is not to provide a comprehensive guide to live theatre response, or to give board-specific advice, but to provide generic teaching ideas that might work across all specifications and to suggest resources that could be used to supplement schemes of work and lesson materials already developed in schools.
The article has been divided into three main sections: before the performance, at the theatre and preparing for the examination. The ideas and advice that follow have been used successfully with BTEC, GCSE and A-level students.
