This KS2 scheme of work explores the well-known Bible stories Noah’s Ark, The Good Samaritan, David and Goliath and Samson and Delilah using a range of activities including character work, devising and improvisation. Two of the sessions are targeted at years 3 and 4 and two at years 5 and 6 although each session could be easily modified for use across all of KS2 depending on the ability of your class.
There are no strict timings for the activities as they can be allowed to run for as long as students need to create the work. The plenaries generally take the form of a performance and feedback session in which students can identify what they enjoyed about the work they have seen as well as giving them to opportunity to offer and receive ideas for further development.
