Performing at KS4

Performing is pretty much the cliché of our job. Ask your average Joe what a music teacher does and you are likely to hear a lot about playing instruments and singing. In many respects, it’s also the thing that our nonmusic colleagues tend to see as the main part of our job too. We are at our most visible when we are putting on concerts or providing entertainment at open evenings. As a subject, for better or worse, we are labelled as being ‘practical’, and performing is pretty much our bread and butter.
