There are many ways of delivering this course and your chosen method will largely depend on staffing, funding and resources. The scheme below is based on two members of staff who teach two lessons a week each. Each lesson is 65 minutes long, giving 260 minutes or 4 hours 20 minutes a week. One teacher delivers the theoretical side of the course and the content for the written paper for Unit One over two lessons per week. The other teacher delivers the practical content for Unit Two over two lessons per week. There is some overlap between the two units as there are questions where students discuss their own practical work.
